Park City Wedding – Solitude Mountain Resort

This couple got married this June and asked me to do their wedding portraits in Park City! We decided on Solitude Mountain Resort near Park City to take their wedding portraits and they turned out amazing. I love the aspen trees and how green the mountain side was for these photos. Solitude Mountain Resort was the perfect wedding venue for these newlyweds. If you like seeing the Utah mountains you should check out this elopement taken near the Utah state capitol!

I love Park City’s diversity when taking photos. Not only can you get industrial photos but you can also easily get mountain/nature photos. Having a wedding in Park City would be stunning. Especially at Solitude Mountain Resort-I have yet to take a whole wedding at this venue but have been wanting to so bad! Mountain weddings are always gorgeous and fun to take photos of. It’s really great because you can have a gorgeous mountain wedding in summer, winter, fall, or spring. The possibilities are endless when it comes to having a wedding in the mountains.

Looking to potentially host your wedding in Park City, Utah for the mountainous, rustic views? Here are a few amazing wedding venues you can look into!

  • Solitude Mountain Resort (scenery around the resort pictured below by Marina Rey Photography LLC) – A ski resort with stunning mountain scenery that has guest capacities of anywhere from 25-300 people. This wedding venue can accommodate any type of wedding from intimate to large celebrations.
  • River Bottoms Ranch – Gorgeous white barn venue in Park City. This venue has gorgeous scenery and the way they set up their services takes the pressure off of planning, or worrying about alcohol services. (If you’re curious about alcohol laws related to weddings in Utah, check out this helpful article with more info!)
  • High West Distillery – A local whiskey distillery here in Utah that has 3 different wedding venue options for you to choose from. Guest capacity can range anywhere from 50-125 people pending on which of the three venues you’d like to choose from. Though, because it is a distillery, they can only accommodate guests who are 21+.
  • 4U Ranch – A modern barn near a river, this venue has the perfect outdoor, rustic atmosphere. Located 20 minutes east from Main Street, Park City.
  • Alta Peruvian Lodge – A local ski lodge with a stunning view of the Utah mountains. If it’s important to have the mountains showcased at your wedding, this might just be your venue! As well, they. can accommodate during all seasons.
  • Sundance Mountain Resort – Probably the most iconic of the venues here, Sundance has some amazing options as well as a full liquor license so you can choose what alcohol you want served! They have options for different venues “ranging from a 4200-square-foot grand hall to an 800-square-foot log cabin”. So no matter what feel you want for your wedding, they’ll have you covered. Plus, who doesn’t want their wedding where people from around the world come to be apart of the Sundance Film Festival?! So cool!
  • The Church of Dirt – The only free wedding “venue” on this list. This is great for couples who want an intimate ceremony with the Park City scenery, and their choice of a reception later that day. The way you “reserve” this ceremony spot is to write it out on a piece of wood and leave it. There’s no guarantee there won’t be someone else who’s interested in the same date but, if you can get it to yourself it’s ideal for the nature loving couple.

No matter what venue you decide to go with, Park City is a gorgeous city to host a wedding at!

She is also great at making you feel comfortable during photos. Marina knows how to pose people alone, couples, and groups in a way that doesn’t make them look like horrible mid-2000’s mall portraits.
